A. CONSERVATION
    1. Redesigning the historical Sri Deli Park, Medan (ongoing)
    2. Renovation of the historical bridge Titi Gantung, Medan (ongoing)
    3. Integrated Conservation Planning for the Inner City of Medan in cooperation with the Netherlands Management Cooperation Program (completed)
    4. Restoring the Tjong Yong Hian Bridge in Medan, built in 1916. A historical bridge with text in three languages (Malay Arabic, Dutch and Mandarin) (completed). The project won the UNESCO Asia Pacific Heritage Awards 2003 for Awards of Merit.
    5. Dilapidation report of the Tjong A Fie mansion in Medan (completed) and sourcing of sponsorship for its reviltalization & renovation (ongoing)
    6. Sourcing of experts and sponsorship for revitalization and renovation of the Medan Town Hall (ongoing)
    7. Dilapidation report of four Malay houses in Medan (ongoing)
    8. Advisory role for conservation of the AD Lim Mansion in Sibolga (ongoing)
    9. Advisory role for the maintenance of historical buildings in Medan, e.g. Central Post Office & Tamiya Cafe.

B. PUBLICATION AND DOCUMENTATION
    1. Inventory of modern architecture in Medan, 600 buildings built between 1860s-1960s.
    2. Publishing Medan Heritage Series with its first edition gKampong Madras, A Portrait of Indian Community.h
    3. Publishing monthly newsletters sent to members, key government officials, press, organizations, universities. Currently 800 copies are printed monthly
    4. Publishing a catalog titled gClassical Photographs of Medan in the Old Daysh
    5. Translating gMedan, Beeld van een stadh (Medan, Story of a City) (ongoing)
    6. Producing a video titled gMedan Heritageh
    7. Completing an nventory of historical buildings and areas in Medan
    8. Collecting rare written and audio visual materials on Sumatra
    9. Contributing to articles for local, national and international printed and electronic media
    10. Conducting research and studies of various subjects in Sumatra

C. NETWORKING
    1. Advising on the formation of the West Sumatra Heritage Trust, Bencoolen Heritage Society and Bangka Heritage Society
    2. Initiating and organizing the Annual Sumatra Network Meeting for Heritage and Conservation
    3. An active member of the Indonesian Network of Heritage Conservation (JPPI), the Asia West Pacific Network for Urban Conservation (AWPNUC) and the modern Asia Architecture Network (mAAN).
    4. Member of the Indonesian Heritage Society (Jakarta) & Hendrick de Keyser Vereniging (Amsterdam)
    5. Exchanging experts, interns and supports with the Penang Heritage Trust (Malaysia), the Association of Dutch Friends for the Sumatra Heritage Trust, ADFSHT (Netherlands), the Netherlands Management Cooperation Program, NMCP (Netherlands), the Prince Claus Fund (Netherlands), Australia ICOMOS, the National Trust of New South Wales, Sydney (Australia), AusHeritage (Australia), the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) Singapore, the Conservation Corps, Newfoundland (Canada), the Asia Community Trust & Japan NGO Center for International Cooperation (JANIC) Japan.
    6. Participating in various international heritage events in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Europe, USA and Canada.

D. PUBLIC EDUCATION
    1. Holding monthly meetings for members and the public with various topics and speakers on 2nd Fridays.
    2. Organizing the Annual Medan Heritage Week
    3. Presenting Heritage Awards for five categories of buildings in cooperation with the Medan Municipality and the Association of Indonesian Architects of North Sumatra
    4. Providing an information resource for heritage issues for the press and universities with access to the Trustfs library
    5. Developing and establishing the Heritage Goes to Schools program to introduce heritage awareness for high school students
    6. Developing and establishing the Heritage Goes to the Malls program to introduce heritage awareness to the public
    7. Holding exhibitions in universities, cultural parks and hotels
    8. Initiating workshops and seminars with local, national and international speakers
    9. Developing the EXPLORERS program, for the public to visit heritage sites
    10. Designing corporate-sponsored storyboards for historical sites
    11. Organizing a street party involving local residents and street hawkers in Kampung Madras, Medan
    12. Publishing Sustainable Medan Initiatives (Medan Bagus), a brochure, to encourage an environmentally friendly lifestyle

E. CONSULTATIVE ROLE
    1. Public efforts to save the ex Mega Eltra Building in Medan (2002)
    2. Assisting the Medan Government in different issues related to heritage such as billboards, tourism and pedestrian programs
    3. Submitting a revision of the 1998 Protected Buildings Act to the Medan Municipality
    4. Field-testing the Cultural Heritage Issues Report Card for the Urban Governance Initiative, UNDP Asia Pacific.
